Split Heat Deflector

The ceramic Split Heat Deflector is designed for simultaneous indirect and direct cooking* in combination with the basket from the Dual Zone Deflector Kit. Place this half heat shield in the basket and you have an indirect and direct zone in the kamado. This is ideal if you want to make a complete meal combining both techniques to make a main and a starter course or cook a thick steak using the reverse sear method. This avoids the hassle of keeping things warm and also means there is no need to adjust the set-up of your Big Green Egg while cooking.
