Rámon Verkoeijen
Flavour and quality are a common thread running through 3FM radio DJ Rámon Verkoeijen’s life. He picked this up from an early age as the son of a butcher. His fascination with wine, and wine and food pairings, was awakened for the first time when he ate at a Michelin-starred restaurant in his twenties.
It's a tradition he still continues to this day and one in which he has regularly come across the Big Green Egg. For three years, Rámon shared his knowledge and culinary discoveries as a host of the podcast, De Beste Smaak van Nederland (The Best Taste in the Netherlands), and continues to do so on social media. His posts contain tips for a tastier life, including his creations from the Big Green Egg.

Rámon bought his first Big Green Egg, the Medium model, in 2019. Later, this was joined by a MiniMax, and since autumn 2025, his Medium and a new Large have been housed in a Modular EGG Workspace in a corner configuration, consisting of an EGG Frame, a Corner EGG Frame and two Expansion Cabinets. This fulfilled his storage and working space requirements.
